Project overview

V​agrant Soul is a narrative puzzle-adventure game. The project was developed as part of Tranzfuser 2020 national game development competition (a UK Games Fund initiative).​ Players will be able to take control of a young monk, searching for a cure to the curse that is slowly corrupting his body. As he descends into an ancient temple, he will face off against a forgotten gods' wrath and uncover its sinister history. I had the pleasure of producing and creating puzzle arenas for the game prototype under the Project Lead.

My Responsibilities

Producer

  • Frequently liaising with the project lead to discuss budget and scope of the project.
  • Using issue tracking software (GitKraken Glo) to assist in managing scope and to track progress.
  • Communicating with external parties who are involved in the Tranzfuser competition and development of the game for submission of relevant documentation and deliverables, on time and to a quality standard.
  • Producing and managing weekly and monthly progress reports on individual team members.
  • Assisting in managing financial spending on resources for the project.

Game Designer

  • Assisting the project lead on developing the story, environment, puzzle and interaction design.
  • Assisting the project lead on key features and vertical slice requirements for the project, in line with the quality submissions of our deliverables to the Tranzfuser team for progress updates and final marking.
  • Utilising a suite of tools, primarily Microsoft 365 tools and Adobe software, to create assets and design documentation.
